Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
The church nurse’s main role is to help congregation members and communities learn new attitudes and skills to be better stewards of their God-given health. The church nurse serves her/his congregation as a referral agent, health advocate, health educator, coordinator of volunteers, personal health counselor and developer of support groups.
Church nursing emphasizes that spiritual health is central to a person’s well being.
